Data Advisory

Licensing revenue from the records your business already keeps.

Years of orders, service tickets, emails and project files record how your team solves problems. AI labs pay to license that kind of record. We help owners work out whether theirs qualifies, check what they are allowed to license, and take them through a deal with a data lab we work with, which pays for them directly.

Start with a short description of your business and the records you hold. No files needed.

The opportunity

Running the business has produced a second asset.

Every reply to a customer, every repair note and every back-and-forth over a quote records how the work got done. AI labs need that material to train models on real work and to test whether a model can do it. They buy it through data labs, which check where it came from and prepare it.

Most owners have never put a price on these records, because until recently nobody was buying them.

Illustrative example: one service record, with identities removed.

Revenue from work already done

There is nothing new to produce. The value sits in records your team created over years of ordinary work, and the company keeps using them as before.

Someone preparing your side

We check what you own and what your customer contracts allow before anyone makes an offer, and we go through the terms with you before you decide.

A buyer that pays you directly

The data lab is the counterparty and pays the company. Your records are never listed or auctioned, and the company pays no fee.

More on the opportunity

Records you'll recognize

The useful records show a problem, the work, and how it ended.

A clean table of finished numbers says little. A thread where your team got something wrong, argued it out and fixed it shows judgment, and nobody can produce that to order.

Distribution

The request
A customer asks for a part that has been discontinued.
The work
Inside sales proposes a substitute, an engineer checks the spec, and the customer approves it by email.
The outcome
The order ships, and the thread shows why the substitute was the right call.

Logistics

The request
A customer disputes a detention charge on a freight invoice.
The work
Dispatch pulls the arrival and departure times and emails the carrier and the customer.
The outcome
A partial credit is issued, with the reason written down.

Field service

The request
A customer reports a machine fault.
The work
The first diagnosis is wrong. A second visit finds a worn bearing.
The outcome
The part is replaced and the root cause goes into the service history.

Illustrations. Whether a particular record qualifies is decided after review.

How it works

From the first call to payment, every decision is yours.

  1. You and Hyphae

    01 A conversation

Your business, your systems and how many years of history they hold.

  2. Hyphae, with you

    02 Ownership first

We separate the records you own from anything you hold for customers.

    Held for customers

Left out. Never offered, never shared.

  3. The data lab

    03 Review and offer

The data lab reviews an anonymized sample and makes an offer.

  4. You

    04 Your decision

You approve the scope and terms, or ask for changes.

    If you say no

You walk away at no cost. Nothing has left your systems.

  5. The data lab

    05 License and payment

The license is signed and the company is paid directly.

Who does what at each step

Who you're dealing with

We already work inside the records of companies like yours.

Hyphae Advisory builds revenue systems for established B2B companies from their own ERP, CRM and email records. We know where this material lives, who controls access to it, and what customer contracts tend to say about it.

For Data Advisory, we prepare the owner and the company. The data lab reviews the record, makes the offer, signs the license, handles anonymization and pays the company.

Who we are, and how we're paid

Questions owners ask first

Does this mean selling the company or its data?

No. A license gives a buyer defined use of defined records for a defined term. The company keeps the business, keeps ownership of its records and goes on using them. It adds no debt and gives up no equity.

Will customer names and personal details leave the company?

Names, emails, phone numbers, account numbers and addresses are removed by a specialist anonymization firm before the data lab or any AI lab sees the record. Nothing leaves your systems until you have accepted an offer.

What does it cost us, and how are you paid?

The company pays nothing, to us or to the data lab. The data lab pays Hyphae a referral fee when a license is signed. We tell every owner this on the first call.
